The hiking path along the Ziller takes you through the whole Zillertal valley, the name of which is derived from the river. The 60 kilometre long route is relatively flat, therefore suitable for families. Various buses or the Zillertal train are an ideal option for the return journey.
Slightly more challenging is the Hochzillertal trail, which leads to the Kaltenbach waterfall and on to Ried. The 9 kilometre long cross run doesn’t require any special equipment, but a certain amount of physical fitness. The climbing route on the Gerlossteinwand is suitable for alpine tours over 2000 metres in altitude. The high rope climbing route in Kaltenbach, close to the Hotel Post is an ideal practice area.
