Cross-country skiing on the Achensee
The Achensee is one of Tyrol's best cross-country skiing areas. The different difficulty levels of the trails and the wonderful nature will cast a spell over you. The area around the Achensee offers more than 200 km of cross-country trails and grants one-of-a-kind cross-country skiing fun. In the 5 towns around the Achensee (Achenkirch, Maurach, Pertisau, Steinberg, Wiesing), each one has its own cross-country trail - both skating and classic routes.
In Pertisau there is a practice trail. Here, everyone who has never stood on cross-country skis can see how these narrow skis work and take their first steps. There are also barrier-free trails at the Achensee, which means the trails are extra wide for cross-country sledding. Of course, there is also room on the trail for your best friend, your dog.
