Austria's only year-round ski area on the Hintertuxer glacier offers not only the best ski conditions but also a gorgeous view of the summits of the Dolomites.

One of the most beautiful ski areas in the Zillertal was created with the merging of the Hochzillertal und Hochfügen ski areas. At elevations of up to 2,500 m, awaiting skiers is a small paradise with many diverse ski runs and numerous highlights. Modern lifts will take you directly to the slopes and huts. The operators of the lifts have truly earned the title "The Best Connection". Experienced skiers can meet up in the First Holiday Region for night skiing or on the racing routes, and beginners can take courses at the ski school or practice in the beginner's ski area.
In only 5 min. you can reach the valley station of the Hochzillertal-Hochfügen ski area by foot from Hotel Post. Skiers don't have to take their skis with them everyday. They can use our ski storage. We can reserve a heated, lockable locker for 2 pairs of skis and boots for you from the Rent and Go ski rental next to the lift. Fee: €4 per day.
Directly near the hotel are many additional wonderful ski areas that guarantee winter sports enjoyment and recreation in the fresh air. The Ahorn and Penken, Zillertal Arena, or Ski- und Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 ski areas are awaiting winter athletes with magnificent slopes, modern lifts, and cozy huts.
The Spieljoch family ski area
The Spieljoch family ski area is only a 10 min. drive from the hotel. With 21 km of slopes, 8 cable cars and lifts, two magic carpet lifts, and a practice lift, the Spieljoch ski area is a hit for families with small children as well as experienced skiers.
The Mayrhofen lifts
The Mayrhofen lifts serve two ski areas - the Ahorn leisure ski area and the Penken action ski area. The sunny ski area with the wide slopes is great for wedelling and ideal for families and connoisseurs. You can experience action-packed days in the Penken ski areas. The steepest slopes, the Harakiri, or the Vans Park will give you a real kick of adrenaline.
The largest ski area in Zillertal
The Zillertal Arena in Zell am Ziller and Gerlos, Zillertal's largest ski area, offers something for everyone. 139 km of slopes and 51 lifts will delight all skiers and freeriders. In one ski area, you can explore 4 towns - Zell am Ziller, Gerlos, Wald-Königsleiten, and Krimml-Hochkrimml.
Sunny skiing on the glacier
The Hintertuxer glacier is the only year-round ski area in Austria. Here, you can experience perfect skiing enjoyment on more than 59 km of slopes 365 days a year. There is a perfect offer to suit everyone - the Betterpark Hintertux is an absolute dream for all freeskiers and snowboarders, and the Hintertux family park is the ideal place for leisurely skiing and learning how to ski for families with children. In winter, the Hintertuxer glacier is connected to the ski mountains Eggalm, Rastkogel, Finkenberg, Penken/Mayrhofen, and Ahorn for an absolute skiing experience - the Ski- und Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000. This ski area offers 193 km of slopes and 77 state-of-the-art lifts for your winter vacation in the Zillertal.
