Winter sportsWalking, hiking, etc.: other winter sports
Even off the ski slopes and cross-country trails, vacationers can enjoy winter sports in the Zillertal and enjoy the winter wonderland. On snowshoe hikes and romantic winter hikes through the alpine world of the Zillertal Alps, you can quickly leave the everyday behind. On the natural ice skating rink in Kaltenbach, you can practice your pirouette.
If you're not in the mood to ski, that's no problem. The selection of winter activities in the Zillertal is seemingly limitless. You can walk along the Ziller promenade, which runs directly by Hotel Post, to Ried, Uderns, or Zell and then enjoy a cup of coffee or take a stroll in town.
The Ziller promenade is groomed throughout the winter, so you can also bring along a child's stroller. The path is separate from the street, so the children can run ahead. There are park benches along the path so you can take a break and enjoy the sun.
Happiness can be found on horseback - this saying also applies to a horse-drawn carriage ride in the snow. Go on a romantic ride through the snow-covered valley, enjoy the peace and quiet, and let yourself be whisked away to another world with the gentle clopping of the horses' shoes. Wrap up in a warm blanket and discover the landscape of the Zillertal in winter during the day or at night. Carriage rides are also possible in summer.
With our partner, Aktiv Zentrum Zillertal, you can go on a guided snowshoe tour. Snowshoes are available on-site, and a certified tour guide will take you through the pristine snow-covered slopes. Experience breathtaking views of the summits of the Zillertal Alps, and enjoy the intense rays of sunshine and pleasant temperatures.
If you want to work on your fitness, a ski tour is just the right thing for you. You can go on deep snow tours or head over the ski slopes up to the top and get in shape along the way. You can rent tour skis at the Rent an Go ski rental, and you will thus have the best equipment for a successful ski tour.
