If you don't feel like skiing, that's no problem at all, the choice of winter activities in the Zillertal is almost limitless. You can walk along the Zillerpromenade - directly past the Hotel Post - to Ried, Uderns or Zell. The Zillerpromenade is cleared throughout the winter, so it is also no problem if you want to walk with a pushchair. There are always park benches along the way for a short break in the sun.

The happiness of the earth lies on the back of a horse. This saying also applies to a carriage ride in the snow! Take a romantic carriage ride through the snow-covered valley and let the trotting of the horses transport you to another world. Wrap yourself in warm blankets and discover the landscape of the Zillertal in winter, whether during the day or in the evening. Carriage rides are of course also possible in summer.

Around Kaltenbach you will find numerous ice skating rinks, both with natural and artificial ice rinks. Get involved in this alternative way of spending your leisure time - fun for young and old is guaranteed! The Kaltenbach ice rink is located in the immediate vicinity of the Hotel Post. You can also hire ice skates here. In Zell am Ziller at the leisure park there is also an ice rink which is open daily from 2.00 to 5.00 pm and from 7.30 am to 10 pm. You can also hire ice skates here (for a fee).

The Aktiv Zentrum Zillertal awaits you for a guided snowshoe tour. You will receive your snowshoes on site and walk through unspoilt snow slopes with a certified tour guide. Experience breathtaking views over the peaks of the Zillertal Alps and enjoy the pleasant temperatures.

If you want to work on your fitness, a ski tour is just the thing for you! You can either take a deep-snow tour to the top or one of the perfectly groomed ski pistes. This leisure park in Kaltenbach is not only worth a visit when the weather is bad: KABOOM has three fully automatic bowling alleys on around 300m2 with seating, a squash hall with parquet flooring and LED lighting as well as Tyrol's largest air park with trampoline and obstacle course. A climbing hall with a climbing area of 200m2 at a height of four metres also awaits your visit.
