MOUNTAIN LIFTS AND CABLE CARS

You can reach high altitudes in summer! In the warmer months, a total of 10 mountain railways are open in the Zillertal. So you can get to the destination of your excursion high above in the Zillertal mountains without a longer walk. Take note: Free ascent and descent with the Zillertal Active Card!

ZILLERTALER HIGH ALTITUDE ROAD

A worthy trip with amazing views. Every day except Saturday, the trip starts from the hotel at 10 am. The Murmelland Zillertal is another excursion destination for the whole family.

LAKES AND SWIMMING POOLS IN THE ZILLERTAL

The Zillertal has numerous bathing lakes, natural lakes and swimming pools for fun in the sun and water. Surrounded by a magnificent backdrop the days swimming will turn into an unforgettable day for both young and old.

LAKE BOCHRA

The great location of the fishing lake in Stumm invites both young and old to let time pass them by. And you may even catch a fish or two! Char, rainbow trout and carp swim in the lake, which is about one hectare in size. Happy fishing!

Arena Fun

Summer toboggan run and bag jump: In the Zillertal Arena there is a great deal to experience. With the Arena coaster in Zell am Ziller you can toboggan in summer. The bag jump from a diving tower into an enormous soft bag is nothing for the faint-hearted.

Zillertaler gold mine

The starting point is at the exhibition dairy and the animal park in Hainzberg. Downhill to the root carving workshop and the mineral exhibition then on to the local history museum and the pilgrimage church “Maria Rast” and finally through the forest to the exhibition gold mine. Zuerst geht es zur Wurzelschnitzerei und zur Mineralienausstellung, dann weiter zum Heimatmuseum und zur Wallfahrtskirche „Maria Rast“ und schließlich durch den Wald zum Gold-Schaubergwerk. Die Besichtigung der Stollenanlage und den historisch wichtigen Stätten dauert etwa zwei Stunden. 

KRIMMLER WATERFALLS

The highest waterfall in Europe in the Hohe Tauern national park! Our tip: Drive over the Gerlos pass (Krimmler waterfall) – Pass Thurn – Kitzbühel – Ellmau (Wilder Kaiser) – Kufstein – Zillertal. The round trip with approx. 180 kilometre impresses with its breath taking views.

NATURAL ICE PALACE HINTERTUX

Interesting ice formations, mysterious ice crystals in a legendary setting at over 3,000 m – experience the Natural ice palace! Step into a sparkling world of ice and let yourself be enchanted!

Guided tours through Austria’s most modern and economical biomass heating power plant to date, plus an attractive excursion destination and an extraordinary location! Come and experience the fascination of wood!

SCHLEGEIS LAKE AND HIKING

Wonderful drive on the Schlegeis alpine road. The reservoir is an ideal starting point for hikes. Or tip: Circular hike around the reservoir can be done easily and without major inclines.

SPANNAGEL CAVE

Join a professional guided tour through 500 metres of the cave system. You are guaranteed to gain fascinating insights into the mountain interior. In the Spannagel cave you will discover everything from stalactites to crystals and even coloured marble.

ACHENSEE RAILWAY

If you would like to, you can travel from Jenbach on the 120 year old railway. The rack and pinion railway takes you 7 km uphill to Seespitsz on Lake Achen, at a gradient of up to 16%, the old narrow-gauge railway really works up a sweat. Once you have reached the top, you can take a steamboat ride across Lake Achen.

SILVER MINES SCHWAZ

Experience how silver was mined over 500 years ago – Schwaz was the largest mine in the Middle Ages! Take the special train to the interior of the mine which is followed by a tour during which the work of the miners in the Middle Ages is explained.

INNSBRUCK

Visit the Olympic and capital city of Tyrol Innsbruck. The most important sights include the Golden roof, Ottoburg, Habsburg, Schmetterlinghaus, Hofgarten, Triumphforte, Olympic ski jump, Alpen zoo, Castle Ambras, Bell foundry Grassmayr, city tour…About 50 km away.

Rattenberg

Rattenberg is the smallest town in Tyrol and is known as the glass town. Take the Kisslinger crystal-glass tour of a glass-blowing and glass-cutting factory (tour is free).

CASTLE TRATZBERG STANS

One of the most beautiful Gothic castles in Europe – room after room, treasures spanning 500 years can be admired here. Adventure tours and guided tours for children make the visit an exciting experience for the whole family.

SWAROVSKI CRISTAL WORLDS

Crystal world in Wattens – a world of light and phantasy! An exhibition designed by André Heller, full of glistening artwork and magic. Let yourself be enchanted!
